WashingtonState Historic Census data have never been so easy to access and manipulate. Social Explorer provides user-friendly tools for analyzing U.S. demographic changes at various geographic levels. Explore thousands of interactive historical data maps and tables back to the first U.S. Census in 1790 with this UW-restricted tool.

UWTV on YouTube and Your Phone

UWTV UWTV's new YouTube channel provides access to UWTV's best programming in YouTube's familiar format, and makes it easier to watch on your mobile device. For iPhone users: Bring up http://m.youtube.com/UWTV on Safari, tap the plus sign, and tap Add to Home Screen to add UWTV's YouTube site as an app. For other smart phones, bring up and bookmark the same Web page.

OnTheROA: A Resource for UW Web Developers

ROA Resource Oriented Architecture (ROA) is an important new paradigm for delivering data and automating processes because it enables UW developers to create Web pages and applications using formerly unavailable institutional data. OnTheROA, a new blog, keeps campus developers informed about this Web service activity at UW.

Computcommons Join the Client/User Engagement (CUE) team to have your opinions heard on the development of Catalyst Web Tools such as GradeBook and WebQ as well as Learning & Scholarly Technologies' UW Seattle technology spaces. E-RESOURCE: Ancestry

Family Ancestry (Library Edition) is a UW-restricted database for genealogical or historical research. It includes census, birth, marriage, death, military, immigration, emigration, and naturalization records. It also houses photos, maps, historical newspapers and biographies, and online tools such as an ancestral chart.
