The UW is hosting the 8th Higher Education Data Warehousing conference in Seattle April 3-5, 2011, chaired by UW-IT’s Anja Canfield-Budde. UW students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to submit a short film (two minutes or less) shot using a pocket camera on the theme Voices in Your Community. At some point, the film must feature the UW Common Book, You Are Never Where You Are. Go online for prize information and details (watch the YouTube video), and submit your entry by February 7.

UW students are invited to submit ideas on a new Catalyst mobile Web application aimed at making group studying easier, such as locating group study spaces. This tool will be optimized for mobile devices, but will also be accessible through standard Web browsers.
