UW Windows Live has returned to normal operation as of Nov. 1, 2012. Anyone denied access over the past few days will need to change their UW Windows Live password before attempting a new login to a new URL: http://portal.microsoftonline.com
Description of Outage Symptoms
==============================
10/26/12 - 10/31/12: All password changes were failing for UW Windows Live users. In addition, some accounts were reporting an incorrect login despite having been functional for part of last week. Not all UW Windows Live accounts were affected by this problem.

UW Windows Live is currently experiencing login and password issues. Please see information at http://www.washington.edu/itconnect/teamwork/liveto365.html where updated information will be posted.
UW-IT engineers are working with Microsoft to resolve this current issue.
The Web page above also explains the transition of UW Windows Live accounts to myuw.net that happened on October 23. Email was sent to those who would be affected in early October, with a link to the Web site above for instructions on what steps to take to continue using email.
The current problem is not relate to this October 23 transition.
Sincere apologies for the problems you have experienced. Again, please see http://www.washington.edu/itconnect/teamwork/liveto365.html for detailed information. Thank you for your patience.

Have not been able to access my email for OVER a week, please make this a priority, I personally could care less about having UW mobile and would rather go back to basics to have my email functioning. Which, without any announcements I can only make assumptions about this problem. At least have the UW community be aware about this, I am sure it has been a big, unnecessary stress for some.

Have followed the instructions to use myuw.net, etc. but still have been unable to use my email or access hotmail/windows live/outlook.
Also on myuw page, it says "outlook activated, not receiving email." Tried sending myself test emails, only some go thru.
When will this be fixed, please?

My UW email account is down and I need access to emails containing information and travel itinerary provided by a company I'm interviewing with. My account has been in accessible since Tuesday afternoon. Please fix this soon.

WTH??
MyUW goes mobile and we lose email? Coincidence??
Lost email since Oct 23rd....
Is that the tradeoff? Furthermore, NOTHING!! I repeat, NOTHING is mentioned on ANY uw news feed or source......SHOULD BE ON THE FRONT PAGE OF ITCONNECT!!!
Nothing from theDaily!!!

Its kind of ridiculous that there is ZERO response about the email being utterly broken. I have a quiz due tomorrow, and the link was sent as an email. I wish I could email my professor, but I can't do that. COULD WE GET AN UPDATE PLEASE???
