Working with UW-IT’s free Technology Workshops program, Ableton software is bringing NYC-based digital artist Moldover to UW Seattle. Moldover will teach the inaugural Ableton Workshop in Odegaard 220 on September 25 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Learn a unique set of music creation, editing, and remixing software skills. Doors open to UW students, faculty, and staff at 3:30 p.m., and to the general public at 3:50 p.m. No registration is necessary.

A professional audio recording and editing facility in Odegaard was recently updated by UW-IT with industry-standard hardware and software, thanks to support from the Student Technology Fee. The Sound Studio is available by reservation at no charge to current students, faculty, and staff. You can attend a workshop to familiarize yourself with the new capabilities. Create a new theme song for the Sound Studio Web site and enter it in the Remix Competition by March 11 to win one of three Skull Candy headphones.
